After nearly 15 years of absence, the Chevrolet Blazer is back and is the perfect addition to Chevrolet's crossover and SUV lineup.
Since its official launch in 1969, the Blazer has undergone a major evolution. In its early days, the 1969 K5 Blazer was designed on the frame of Chevrolet full-size pick-up trucks, with a removable roof from the windshield. This first version of the Blazer was presented as a true off-road vehicle. Over the decades, the design of the Blazer has been renewed, but until the end of its production in 2005, it remains a full-size SUV ready to tackle the unexplored roads.
Bringing the Blazer back into its SUV lineup in 2019, Chevrolet has capitalized on the growing market interest in mid-size crossovers that combine driving experience, performance and comfort. This mid-size SUV, which finds its place between the Equinox and the Traverse in the range offered by Chevrolet, rivals the Nissan Murano, the Ford Edge or the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The 2019 version of the Blazer is perhaps less adventurous than the previous, but it is much more modern and adapted to current needs. It features a sporty, aggressive style and a clean-finished interior that, combined, provide an amazing driving experience.
The RS version, featured in these photos, features a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 305 horsepower and all-wheel drive. It also has a Bose sound system, an 8-inch screen, an HD rear camera, a cargo management system, a heated steering wheel, and more.
