In an official short statement, GM announced the arrival in Canada of the new high-end version of the 2019 Buick Regal. It will be the fourth model of the Avenir worldwide.
It will accompany the Buick Enclave which also has a version of the Avenir and currently represents more than 30% of sales for the Enclave. The Buick Lacrosse has a similar story and the arrival of this latest vehicle signals great prospects for Buick.
The popularity of mid-size sedans
The Buick manufacturers have stated that this year, interest in the 2018 Regal Sportback as a mid-size luxury sedan is very high. Owners benefit in particular from all of its available technologies and cleverly designed interior design.
For example, the Regal Avenir now incorporates Buick's first fully connected infotainment system. This allows users to customize their profile and benefit from updates of various systems such as voice recognition and apps. Drivers also have the option to transfer their profile to another model, so there’s no need to start again from scratch.
The new 2019 Buick Regal has unique, subtle features. Basic features include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a 60/40 split rear seat, keyless entry, and a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, USB connectivity, 4G LTE connectivity, fabric upholstery and, for 2019, an interior cabin ionizer.
Safety
In terms of safety, the Regal Sportback has many safety features, including a rearview camera as standard. Another standard feature is the Active Hood, which detects an imminent collision with a pedestrian and lifts the hood in milliseconds to minimize injury.
