Jolyanne Brien: The Energy of a Fresh Start

On this International Women’s Rights Day, we want to highlight an employee from Chevrolet Buick GMC de L’Île-Perrot who, every day, makes a positive contribution to the dealership. This is the perfect opportunity to recognize her achievements, resilience, and influence, all while continuing to promote gender equality in the automotive industry and beyond. In that spirit, we are proud to present Jolyanne Brien, Delivery Coordinator, who shares her inspiring journey and unique perspectives through a short questionnaire.

Q: How long have you been working in the automotive field?
A: “Only for 2 months! I come from the construction industry, so it’s all new to me.”

Q: What attracted you to this field?
A: “I’ve always been into cars—I love everything related to the automotive world.”

Q: Which position(s) have you held?
A: “I’m a Delivery Coordinator. I help prepare vehicles for customer handover and handle the related paperwork.”

Q: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a woman in this industry?
A: “Getting used to office work! But I adapt quickly and I love taking on this new challenge.”

Q: What advice would you give to a woman who wants to get into the automotive field?
A: “Learn as much as you can about both new models and the history of the brands. Knowledge and passion make all the difference.”

Q: If you could drive any car, which one would you choose and why?
A: “I’m a fan of lowrider culture, so I’d pick a 1964 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop or a 1967 Cadillac DeVille convertible.”

Jolyanne’s story shows that it’s never too late to discover new passions and carve out a place in a traditionally male-dominated field. Her enthusiasm proves that when you dare to take the leap, every challenge becomes an opportunity to shine.

From Jolyanne and everyone at Chevrolet Buick GMC de L’Île-Perrot, we wish you a happy International Women’s Rights Day!
